Hi, I’m Micaela! I’m a singer/songwriter having a really good year. I was recruited for the 22nd season of American Idol after a video of me busking in downtown Santa Barbara went viral on TikTok. Katy Perry and Luke Bryan described my voice as “timeless” and “free.” Now, after years of developing my artistry and writing songs for myself and my small community, I am so excited to share them with you. My first single, Milk and Honey, which I wrote, recorded, and produced, is a self-portrait, describing an artist on the precipice of the life she wants, looking back on what she has to leave behind. It has a moody feel with soulful vocals and guitars that evoke the feeling of a moving train.
